Ras El Hekma stretches along more than 44 km of Egypt's Mediterranean coastline. Alexandria is roughly two hours away by road and Cairo roughly three. The city is planned around a new airport, a central business district, a rapid transit network and an international marina and cruise terminal, with four marinas berthing around 1,860 boats including some 200 superyachts. By air, Abu Dhabi and Dubai are around four hours, Kuwait three, Doha three and a half, and Rome three.
